Detail of the update
The firmware update (Ver.1.00 to Ver.1.01) incorporates the following improvements.

1. Upgrade of Image Quality Setting.
The following functions are added and activated in RAW menu(*1) for QUALITY.
· Recording with TIFF-RGB format.
· Playback of images recorded by IS Pro with TIFF-RGB format.

2. Better image quality of live view when using Hyper-Utility software HS-V3(*2) or HS-V3 UP(*2)

*1 When TIFF-RGB format is selected , Image quality displayed on Control panel is RAW.
*2 IS Pro optional products in which recording with TIFF-RGB format is not available when using Shoot from PC function.

Precaution

1. If firmware upgrading fails, the camera may no longer operate correctly in some cases.
Carefully read the notes provided here.
2. Always use the AC adapter or the full charged battery NP-150 when upgrading the firmware.
Never turn the camera off or attempt to use any of the camera controls while the firmware is being overwritten.
3. Firmware upgrading takes approximately 1 minute.
4. Once the firmware has been upgraded, the previous current cannot be restored.
