HP Compaq Thin Clients Microsoft Windows XP Embedded Image 5.1.710 Rev.A package contains the tools and image needed to restore or replace the operating system image on the supported thin client models running the Microsoft Windows XP Embedded (XPe) Operating System.
NOTE: The 5.1.710.XPe3 (Simplified Chinese) image contained in this package can be deployed to a supported Thin Client model with a minimum of a 512-MB flash memory card and 512-MB RAM, however, you may experience low-disk-space and out-of-memory pop-ups. HP recommends a minimum of a 1-GB flash memory card and 1 GB of RAM.

ENHANCEMENTS:
The new image contains the following changes from the previous version:

- Provides an image that is entirely based on Microsoft Windows XP Embedded (XPe) with Service Pack 3 (SP3).
- Updates the HP Device Manager Agent to version 4.0.
- Updates the ThinState Capture Tool to version 3.0.0.23.
- Updates the HP SAM Client to version 2.3.0.9.
- Updates the Symantec Endpoint Protection Firewall rules.
- Updates the HP System Information Utility to version 1.1.0.4.
- Includes HP Remote Graphics Receiver version 5.2.0.
- Updates the TeemTalk Terminal Emulator to version 7.0.1.2613.
- Updates the TeemTalk Configuration Wizard to version 7.0.1.2613.
- Includes HP RDP Multimedia and USB Enhancements Client version 6.0.13.
- Includes VMware View Client version 3.0.0 Build-127642.
- Includes the Citrix XenApp Plugin for Hosted Applications version 11.0.0.5357.
- Includes RDC 6.0.6001, which supports RDP 6.1.
- Includes the DirectX9 component.
- Updates the User account to make HP Compaq Thin Clients Microsoft Windows XP Embedded Image 5.1.710 Rev.A part of the Power Users group and not the Administrators group.

NOTE: For the FTP Image Update to function properly, it requires the following available free space:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the file by clicking the Download or Obtain Software button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

This SoftPaq contains a utility that is designed to aid in the deployment of this factory image.

During the installation, you are prompted to choose one of the following actions:
- Format a USB drive with the image and tools.
- Unpack the contents into a directory of your choice.

If you are not sure about how to proceed, or if you want to integrate this image into a managed environment, choose Deployment and review the documentation provided in the RECOVERY.PDF file.
