Support for 3D stereoscopic games
3D stereoscopic games are now supported.
- As of April 22, 2010, there are no 3D stereoscopic games available for the PlayStation®3 system. The release schedules for 3D stereoscopic games will be announced later.
- Use an HDMI cable.to connect the PS3 system to a TV that supports 3D stereoscopic display.
- If the TV in use supports 3D stereoscopic display, the screen from which you can set the TVs screen size will be displayed when adjusting the video output settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to adjust the settings.

Settings
- Bitstream (Direct) and Bitstream (Mix) have been added as options under Video Settings > BD Audio Output Format (Optical Digital).  > See details

Game
- You can now sort your trophies by the game title or by the date earned.  > See details
- Names of hidden trophies that you have not yet earned are now displayed as Hidden Trophy instead of ???.

The Install Other OS and Default System features have been deleted in system software versions 3.21 and later. You will not be able to use Install Other OS or Default System under (Settings) > (System Settings).


You can update your system software by any of the following methods:
- System Update
      Update using the PS3 systems System Update feature.
- Update using a PC
      Download update data using a PC and save on storage media* or a USB Mass Storage device. Copy the update data to the PS3 systems hard disk drive and perform the update.
- Update using disc media
      Use the update data included on a game disc to perform the update.

*An appropriate USB adaptor (not included) is required to use storage media with some models of the PS3 system.
